In aims to produce web-enhanced DL materials in the field of countryside management and to maximise the appropriate use of ICT in the delivery of learning material.

The main aims are to produce, pilot and evaluate web-enhanced DL materials in the field of countryside management, to disseminate expertise in developing and running of ODL programmes among partner institutions, to maximise the appropriate use of ICT in the delivery of learning material and to make countryside management available for study by remote groups.

Learners have been able to use computer resources at their homes or places of employment to access materials, or both. Four groups of professional practitioners piloted the modules, one in each partner country ; more than half were women, a third of whom were “returners”, and a quarter of the whole pilot population lived in remote areas.
The learning material have been adopted into the programmes of the partner universities and the intention is to complete, collaboratively, an international award in countryside management and market it across Europe.
