Professor of Physics and Physics Education at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, since 1974. University lecturer for doctoral and post-graduation courses, for Secondary School Physics teachers.
Director of a Centre of Research of the University Autonoma de Barcelona: CRECIM (Centre de Recerca per a l’Educació Científica i Matemàtica) since 2003.
Coordinator of the Network of Catalan University research groups in Science education since 2005, network funded for the Catalan Government and containing 14 research groups from all the public Catalan universities.
Head of a Research Group of quality, main researcher in several Local, National and European Research projects and different research initiatives addressed to teacher education and particularly to the digital literacy of science teachers.
Hundreds of publications in prestigious journals in the science education field: International Journal of Science Education, Science Education, Enseñanza de las Ciencias, Alambique, etc.
