Prof. Dr. Ilona Buchem is professor for Digital Media and Diversity at Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin, Germany, Department I: Economic and Social Sciences and Gender and Technology Center (GuTZ). Her research and teaching focus on the intersections of digital media, pedagogy and society. Prior to this position, she worked as senior researcher at Beuth University ans as research fellow in the area of educational technology in personnel training at Daimler AG in Berlin. Ilona Buchem has extensive experience in designing and implementing technology enhanced learning (TEL). She is also a certified e-trainer and e-moderator, and the co-author of PAS 1093 at the German Institute for Standardization (DIN), which is a Publicly Available Specification on competency modeling in human resource development. She is the General Chair of the Personal Learning Conference 2013. Ilona Buchem graduated with a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw (Poland), Concordia University (WI, USA) and University Duisburg-Essen (Germany). She studied Educational Sciences at Humboldt University in Berlin and obtained her PhD degree in Adult and Business Education in 2009. Ilona Buchem is an enthusiastic micro-/blogger on new forms of TEL - Mediendidaktik 2.0.
