COMENIUS course: Building research-based MOODLE materials in Maths, Science and CLIL

The course Building research-based MOODLE materials in Maths, Science and CLIL is about using 21st century skills in the classroom and it is aimed to disseminate and discuss the research-based and innovative pedagogical methods developed at ITEMS project.

Moodle ist eine Open-Source Lernplattform, auf der in Kursräumen Arbeitsmaterialien zur Verfügung gestellt werden können, wobei der Schwerpunkt aber auf der Gestaltung von individuellen und vor allem kooperativen Lernaktivitäten liegt. Anwendung findet Moodle in allen Bildungsbereichen, in Schulen, Hochschulen und Unternehmen.

Eine MoodleMoot bietet allen Moodlern (Moodle-Nutzern) aus dem In- und Ausland die Gelegenheit, sich einen Überblick zu verschaffen, Erfahrungen auszutauschen und neue Anregungen zu erhalten, die eigenen Kompetenzen zu erweitern und Kenntnisse zu vertiefen, sich über neue Entwicklungen zu informieren und einfach Kontakte zu knüpfen und zu pflegen.

 

Die SwissMoodleMoot richtet sich an Lehrpersonen aller Stufen, Dozierende an Universitäten und Hochschulen, Erwachsenenbildner/-innen, Ausbildungsverantwortliche in Unternehmen sowie Moodle-Admins und Entwickler/-innen.

1st Moodle Research Conference

The Moodle Research Conference will become a major event for academics, researchers, experts and practitioners - sharing experiences, research achievements and innovative developments with Moodle. It is a unique opportunity to participate in an event dedicated to research and development (R&D) on learning and teaching carried out with Moodle. The conference will provide opportunities for sharing, discussing and providing constructive criticism of research outcomes and methods.

Topics

Prospective authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original unpublished research and recent developments on the following topics:

  • Research studies and case studies on teaching with Moodle
  • Mobile Learning with Moodle
  • Innovative Moodle plug-ins
  • Learning Analytics in Moodle
  • Collaborative Learning with Moodle
  • Moodle communities of practice
  • Interoperability with Moodle
  • Accessibility in Moodle
  • Adaptivity in Moodle

Call for Papers

Prospective authors are invited to submit:

  • Research papers - of up to 8 pages, including figures and references.
  • Posters and research in progress, that should be up to 1000 words in length.

MoodleMoot 2012

The opening lecture will be held by Prof. Dr. Christoph Neuberger from the University of Munich. The title of his lecture is "Media company 2.0 - How does the public walks through the Internet".

On 13 and 14 March 2012, prior to the MoodleMoot 2012, a Pre-Conference will be held at the WWU-Münster.

The MoodleMoot 2012, organized to develop scenarios, establish learning processes, share experiences and ideas for design of teaching and learning scenarios for individual to obtain funding, to establish learning processes etc.
