participatory learning
Designing for learning in an open world
Gráinne Conole's book argues that in today’s technologically rich context, where content and services are increasingly free, we need to rethink approaches to the design of learning activities and content.
She introduces the concept of ‘open design’ and argues that making the design process more explicit and shareable will enable teachers to develop more effective learning contexts for learners and help make the intended design more explicit and shareable with other teachers and learners. It will help learners to make more sense of their educational provision and associated learning pathways.
Conole provides a number of illustrations of adopting an ‘open design’ approach, from a set of design representations through to the use of open, social and participatory media for sharing and discussing designs. She draws on the areas of learning design, pedagogical patterns and OER (Open Educational Resources) research to explore the creation, sharing and discussion of learning and teaching ideas and designs.
Šis pētījums izgaismo šo problēmu no skolotāja skata punkta.

Designing for participatory learning in open educational environments
“The openEd 2.0 project brings together stakeholders in formal and informal education from different countries aiming to increase the speed of innovation in education, to ensure continuous provision of up to date and relevant learning materials, and to promote participatory learning, including active learning, creative problem solving, learning by doing, critical thinking and creativity.
The openEd 2.0 project proposes to test a cost-efficient, geographically unlimited, free and open educational framework on business and management, providing formal learners and individuals outside formal education with an efficient and sustainable lifelong learning infrastructure. This framework will be implemented and tested by means of 3 consecutive pilot courses which will take place during Fall 2010, Spring 2011 and Fall 2011. The design of the openEd 2.0 course - Business and management competencies in a Web 2.0 world - is currently on its way, and in the light of openness, we highly welcome you to contribute to put this course together.
