The purpose of this project is to enable teachers in Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and United Kingdom to develop innovative and effective approaches to education for sustainability.

The purpose of this project is the creation of the interactive Education for Sustainability web site in Polish, Latvian, Lithuanian and English.

The objective of the web is to enhance pupil centred learning and thereby assist pupils to gain appropriate skills and values to make effective informed decisions to support sustainable development.

The project will focus on lower secondary school teachers and pupils.

The project activities will involve the creation of the Project Development Team from each country. The Development Team will carry out a needs analysis and then develop the Education for Sustainability Web Site. This will be tested with 25 schools in each country with teachers developing modules of work based on the web site, before being revised and launched to all schools.

The major outputs of the project will be 300 pages web site in four languages. The pages of the web site will be distributed on CD-ROM. During the project Project Development Team will also develop modules for teacher training workshops. Participating in the project teachers of different subjects will produce 100 student centred teaching modules.
