Master degree in Design and Management of online education in 2008, at the Università degli Studi di Firenze (Florence, Italy). Post-graduate certificate in Science Communication in 2001, at the Università degli Studi di Milano (Milan, Italy). Degree in Biology in 2000, at the Università degli Studi di Milano (Milan, Italy). Between 2001 and 2008 worked as medical writer and editor for Elsevier-Masson (Milan, Italy). In 2007 started a collaboration with the Laboratório e-Learning of the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia of Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCTUNL) (Lisbon, Portugal).
At present she is grant holder at the Centre of Philosophy of Sciences of the Universidade de Lisboa (Lisbon, Portugal), in a Project on Image in Science and Art; she is working on the relevance of images on the construction of medical knowledge (epistemological problems and bioethical issues). She also teaches Science Writing at Escrever Escrever (Lisbon, Portugal). Research interests in Epistemology, Cognition Theory, Instructional Design, e-Learning and Social Networks.
