Santi Caballé

Dr. SANTI CABALLE received his Ph.D. (2008), Masters (2005) and Bachelors (2003) in Computer Science from the Open University of Catalonia (Barcelona, Spain). Since 2004 he has been an Assistant Professor at the Open University of Catalonia, where he became Associate Professor and Researcher in 2006 teaching and coordinating a variety of on-line courses in Computer Science in the area of Software Engineering, Collaborative Learning and Information Systems. He has received research accreditations as Tenured Assistant Professor (2012) and Tenure-track Lecturer (2008) issued by the Catalan Government (AQU Catalunya). As an Associate Researcher at the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute and the eLearn Center (Barcelona, Spain) as well as at the International Computer Science Institute (Berkeley, CA, USA), Dr. Caballé has leaded and participated in over 20 research projects, including leading EU-FP7 and US-NSF multi-million funded projects, and has been involved in the organization of several international conferences and workshops. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed research contributions, including 10 books and 15 ISI-JCR journal papers, and has also served as an editor and reviewer for books and journals. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board member of leading journals.
