EFELSE’s overall aim is on the definition of criteria for successful Lifelong Learning Strategy definition/ implementation.
Under this general scope the project aims to develop an understanding on the factors that impede upon progress towards change in E+T from a socio-cultural and capacity building perspective. The area of study is that of adult participation in LLL as it is the area that is mostly influenced by traditional practices and attitudes towards learning. The objects of study are parameters that suggest coherence and comprehensiveness of an LLL strategy, those being: partnerships put in place, considerations on demands for learning, resourcing, access provided to learning opportunities, the creation of a new learning culture, and the implementation of quality control mechanisms.The National LLL Strategies and the National contexts of Greece, Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Spain and Germany constitute the EFELSE policy and practice research settings.
Project outcomes available
- detailed overview of the status of LLL in the participating country, including SWOT analysis on the six EFELSE parameters: Learning Culture, Partnerships, Quality Assurance, Investments, Demands for Learning and Access to Learning Opportunities;
- profound study on the six parameters with comparison between the countries;-
- comprehensive list of best practices in the area of LLL from European, National and Regional/Local level from policies makers and training providers.
Crucial project activities continue beyond the project official end.
